iQstor Networks Qualifies Hitachi 4GFC Disk Drives

Compatible with iQ2880 4GFC to FC Storage Platform and J2880 4GFC SBOD

Newbury Park, CA - May 16, 2006 - iQstor Networks, Inc., a leading developer of intelligent and integrated Storage Area Network (SAN) solutions, announced today that it has qualified the Hitachi Ultrastar 15K147 series of 4GFC disk drives for use with its iQ2880 4GFC to FC Storage Platform and J2880 4GFC Switched JBOD (SBOD) disk expansion enclosure.

The iQ2880 storage platform from iQstor combines enterprise-level features such as storage virtualization, snapshot, mirroring, remote replication, storage provisioning and automated capacity growth with fully redundant components, to deliver storage scalability, data protection, storage automation and management simplicity. Also, integrated RAID levels (0, 1, 1+0, 3, 5, 6) provide data protection and help keep business critical applications running. Each iQ2880 system supports up to 15 x 4GFC drives providing from 540GB to 2.2TB of storage capacity or can be expanded to 16 chassis with up to 35TB with 240 x 147GB 4GFC drives.

The J2880 supports the latest 4GFC interconnect in switched dual loops and is backward compatible to 2Gb FC-AL. Easily connected to RAID subsystems, each J2880 SBOD scales to 2.2TB with 15 x 147GB 4GFC disk drives.
