In a typical iQstor-based ILM and tiered storage solution, an intelligent iQ1000 Fibre Channel Storage System and multiple J1000 Fibre Channel Expansion Enclosures are used for primary storage, and multiple J1200 SATA Expansion Enclosures are used for secondary storage. Using these iQstor products, the primary Fibre Channel storage pool can easily be scaled to 36TB and secondary SATA storage pool can be scaled to 90TB Terabytes. CaminoSoft's intelligent Managed Server HSM software works in conjunction with intelligence onboard the iQ1000 to migrate data to different storage tiers based on pre-defined policies and usage patterns.
